designing while being environmentally conscious is a mindset we are seeing more and more of in the fashion industry. New York Native & Rising Designer Olivia Change of Dauphinette’s has taken this value to the next level. For her it’s more than being mindful of the environment & our imprint on it,  it’s about working with it & for it.

During her Fall 2020 fashion show, collection notes were given out on 100% biodegradable seeded paper & asked all her guests to plant them. Invitations were sent out digitally & required guests to bring their own reusable cups, plates & cutlery to enjoy a feast of fruit, dessert & mimosa’s.

This young designer started her career upcycling vintage clothing by adding unique details like hand painted blossoms & feather scraps. Her clientele quickly grew from friends to vintage lovers all over. Now designing her own lines, she chooses to work exclusively with recycled material but still features her signature blossom print. Although much of her outerwear pieces are still vintage they all have been given the Dauphinette spin. The dopest piece in the line are her earrings! These unique pieces are made out of real food & flowers dipped in resin, freezing them in time & to then hang them off your earlobe.

Her line has been well received among fashion lovers of all ages & we totally get why. From The Ming-vase-inspired prints on upcycled shearling sun hats to raincoats with real flowers crushed between the clear panels, we are obsessed with this girl’s vibe! What we love even more is the passion for sustainable fashion behind her entire brand. below are some of our fave picks from this dope collection.
